A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

In case you’ve got a cloud web hosting with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a given email mailbox that you have in your web hosting account, it will take literally only a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each and every email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can select one single email address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will activate the feature momentarily, so all messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary message and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature till you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick another mailbox to be the catch-all one.
